Important revision to the upgrade procedure
Upgrading a NearStore VTL appliance while virtual tapes are still
loaded can result in those tapes being truncated and the data becoming
inaccessible. To prevent this, the upgrade procedure now includes
extensions to the procedure described in the VTL System Administration
Guide. These extensions are documented in Changes
to the VTL OS upgrade procedure in the release notes. Follow
the extended installation procedure when upgrading to VTL 5.2.3.
